Awaken Your Medicine: Unearth Your Indigenousity to Remember w/ Black Girl Magik
Are you ready to deepen your relationship with ancestral connection? Are you looking to understand clearly your purpose in this lifetime from an indigenous view?
Look no further, the foundation of this workshop is rooted in the origin wisdom of the Dagara Tradition in Burkina Faso to understand elemental medicine: fire, water, mineral, earth and nature. Using this as the foundation, Shydeia will create a sacred container exploring how the African Medicine Wheel connects us to our purpose, identity and growth. Shydeia will then lead us through a shamanic mineral meditation to help us remember who we are and connect to our ancestors.
BIO
Shydeia Caldwell is a healer, writer and teacher helping people uncover, rediscover and embrace their roots through ancestral lineage healing traditions and education. At Black Girl Magik, Shydeia uses technology to help Black women enhance and deepen their individual power with wellness, sisterhood, and ancestral healing at its core. Her work has helped thousands of people around the world reconnect to their authenticity, origin and purpose. Shydeia's practice is a response to her own journey of unlearning and remembering. Beyond her individual quest, she clears the shadow of history that has blurred society’s relationship to ancestral connection and healing. The purpose of her work addresses global healing by bringing remembrance, connection, and wisdom to institutions of higher learning, Fortune 500 companies and major media outlets including the Oprah Winfrey Network. However, her greatest honor was being bestowed the title of "woman of spirit" by her teacher the late Elder Dr. Malidoma Patrice Somé.
