Stevie joy leigh, of Weaver + Rose, is a somatic practitioner & mystic who primarily works within 1:1 somatic (body-based) counseling and spiritual guidance containers. They believe a somatic practice, a ritual practice, and an ancestral practice are all strands of the same tapestry. Stevie works with people who are in the middle of a transition- birth, death, grief, working with trauma, shifts in identity- and uses their somatic competencies to help people understand the language of their bodies, root themselves into the present, and come to a deeper understanding of who they are. This anchor of awareness is uncovered and cultivated in session through somatic exploration, learning about the nervous system, exploring embodied intuition, ancestral and cultural practices, and ritual. Somatic work is reclamation work. It’s liberatory and dynamic. In this work, stevie makes room for the individual, the communal, and the ancestral. All in service to a more whole future. For ourselves and for future generations. When stevie isn’t doing 1:1 work, they offer a couple of courses, tarot readings, and the occasional workshop or circle. You can also find them reading, snuggling their cats, or singing to the trees at their little yellow bungalow in what is now called Pasadena, California- traditional and rightful land of the Tongva people.
